Attention! All Cadette & Senior Girl Scouts
There is a Community Service Opportunity
on October 9, 2004

The Girl Scouts and the Food Bank of the Albemarle need your help.  Girl Scouts are needed to help at neighborhood food drive collection sites. Cadette and Senior "Helping Hands" will take bags of food from troops as they drive-up and drop-off at collection sites.

Drop-offs at designated sites will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can volunteer for one to four hours. This is an opportunity to make a difference in the community. All girls who participate as "Helping Hands" will receive a 2004 Girl Scout Food Drive patch and certificate.

Over 300,00 people, nearly half are children, will experience hunger in our area this year. You can help by saying "YES" to this community service opportunity.

Call Alice Bing, the council's development and communications manager to volunteer and receive details. Her number is 547-4405, ext 236. For more information you can e-mail her at aliceb@gsccc.com or view the Girl Scout Website.
