Dine Out to Help Out

Dine Out to Help Out Sept 13th for Food Bank of the Albemarle

On Tuesday, September 13th patrons in Beaufort, Bertie, Gates, Hertford, Hyde, Martin, Northampton, Tyrrell and Washington Counties can have a great meal and help the food bank.

Established in 1995, Dine Out to Help Out was created in response to the Food Bank’s need to continue providing healthy, nutritious food to families facing food insecurity in northeast North Carolina. The event has been incredibly popular with participating restaurants who see an increase in patrons, but also with the community as support for both local business and the Food Bank of the Albemarle increases.

The popular Dine Out to Help Out event has been expanded to include restaurants in the aforementioned counties on September 13th, as a way to engage more communities in the 15 county region served by the Food Bank of the Albemarle. The event is sponsored in part by First South Bank.

There are numerous restaurants who were involved with the launch of this hunger-relief initiative that are still participating today.

“We are incredibly excited at the continued growth of this program. The support of 65 restaurants for the June 14th event was incredibly generous, and we hope that the success they have experienced will inspire more participation for the September 13th Dine Out also,” stated Food Bank Executive Director Liz Reasoner.

Restaurants’ that would like to participate in the September 13th Dine Out to Help Out can contact Carolyn Anderson at 252-335-4035, ext. 111 for more information.
