DineOut to Help Out Sept 13th for Food Bank of the Albemarle

On Tuesday, September 13th patronsin Beaufort, Bertie, Gates, Hertford,Hyde, Martin, Northampton, Tyrrell and Washington Counties can have a greatmeal and help the food bank.

Established in 1995, Dine Out toHelp Out was created in response to the Food Bank’s need to continue providinghealthy, nutritious food to families facing food insecurity in northeast NorthCarolina. The event has been incredibly popular with participating restaurantswho see an increase in patrons, but also with the community as support for bothlocal business and the Food Bank of the Albemarle increases.

The popular Dine Out to Help Outevent has been expanded to include restaurants in the aforementioned counties on September 13th, as a way to engage more communities in the 15 county region served by the Food Bank of the Albemarle. The event is sponsored in part by First South Bank.

There are numerous restaurants who were involved with the launch of this hunger-relief initiative that are still participating today.

“We are incredibly excited at thecontinued growth of this program. The support of 65 restaurants for the June 14thevent was incredibly generous, and we hope that the success they haveexperienced will inspire more participation for the September 13thDine Out also,” stated Food Bank Executive Director Liz Reasoner.
