Spreading the Word

Did you know that one in every five persons in northeast North Carolina lives in poverty?

Did you know poverty levels in our area are consistently 5-10% higher than the national average?

Did you know that many of the households needing emergency food assistance are the "working poor" who simply cannot earn enough to make ends meet?

Many people are simply unaware of these alarming facts.  There are an incredible number of misconceptions, and YOU can help us get the message about hunger out to the caring people in northeast North Carolina.

Help us spread the word that people in our own communities need help!  Invite us to talk to your club, school, or church.  Plan a special event of your own to benefit the Food Bank.  Remind your friends that we need their help.
