Planned Giving
Have you considered building a donation to the Food Bank for the Albemarle into your estate plan? This is philanthropy that is amazingly accessible and will have major, lasting impact on your community. Our staff is here to help facilitate all kinds of planned giving options. Planned gifts can provide you with important tax savings and other benefits.
We recognize that – while you want to preserve economic security for you and your loved ones – you want to leave a last permanent, growing legacy. Giving options vary depending on whether you want to give now or in the future. The most commonly used form of planned giving is a bequest. A bequest is a gift from your estate that you specify in your will. The bequest can be money, stocks, real estate and any number of other things. A bequest is easy and revocable if circumstances change. We can help find just the right financial/legal advisor to help with this process.
There are certainly other planned giving options, and our staff is prepared to answer your questions right up to the point that you need formal financial and legal counsel. Your inquiries are strictly confidential and you are under no obligation at all to the Food Bank of the Albemarle when you call our Resource Development Department at 335-4035 (ext. 113).
