Hold A Food Drive or Fundraiser

Food drives and fundraisers are key to our success.  Anyone who has been a part of the community for any time at all is familiar with major Food Bank events like the National Association of Letter Carriers' “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive conducted in May or the Girl Scouts' food drive conducted in October.

While these big events get a lot of much-deserved attention, we never want to give anyone the impression that their smaller, grassroots food drives and fundraisers have no impact.  In fact, they do, and – in some ways – they can reach people in ways some of the bigger campaigns never will.

Community food drives happen all year long.  Businesses and organizations sponsor fundraisers that support our mission and provide food to those in need.  The Food Bank of the Albemarle has the staff and coordination necessary to make your event work perfectly. If you would like more information about sponsoring a food drive, please contact us at 335-4035 (ext. 114)  or Click Here to ask for more information.
